Ten Haiku On Misjudgments ©

To be an adult

Recognize your behavior

Has consequences

You want to do what?

No!  Wait till you are older

Don’t argue with me

The state says I can

But you won’t give me the keys

Why don’t you see me?

I’m bigger than you

I am stronger than you are

Why do you scare me?

Recalling my teens

When I knew everything

I was in for a shock

Now as a senior

After proving my value

I envy the child

Not in the workforce

Trying hard to contribute

My job had been me

Hey listen to me

Although we don’t look alike

Stop staring through me

You think you know me

All you see is a youngster

Give me some respect

You say that you hear

But indignities are caused

When you don’t listen
