So What

The bleachers, the grandstands

I’ll be in the thick of it

If I got there by noon that ticket was in my hands

You have season tickets

So what

Wrigley said the games are for the kids, you and me

Sit us together end to end

Can’t get there, it’s on the TV

Your family shares those seats with their friends

So what

The Cubs are my team

Buy tickets with allowance

Cub players forever are no dream

Box seats are extravagance

So what

That’s how it was; now only the rich are deserved

Look the games are sold out

There are no seats unreserved

Want to get in today kid go ahead and pout

So what

I can’t afford to get in on my pocket change alas

But the Cubs are no longer the beloved losers

They don’t lose like they did in the past

But now when they lose they’re just losers

But I say, So What
